Club Welfare Officer
As mentioned in the recent newsletter, the Case Management Group, that oversees all safeguarding matters, has been reviewing the role of the Club Welfare Officer along with the suitability of the individual fulfilling that role and the training undertaken.
The publication of the Whyte Report, sharing concerns from within British Gymnastics, has enforced the need for this review.
Welsh Boxing is looking to reduce the number of Club Welfare Officers and increase the skills. Rather than look for individual Club Welfare Officers, we want to appoint Club Welfare Officers who would oversee a cluster of clubs in each region. Therefore, a club does not need to find its own Club Welfare Officer - quite often a difficult task.
Please find below the recruitment process for those individuals willing to work with Welsh Boxing in a voluntary capacity as a regional Club Welfare Officer. When applying, it would be helpful to know if you have a cluster of clubs you would like to work with.
The closing date is Friday, 29 July.
