Director of Regulation

Under 32.2.2 of our Articles, Welsh Boxing is to have a Director of Regulation on the board. This position has been vacant since Mark Williams stepped down, but we are now able to announce our new Director of Regulation.

After a lengthy and thorough recruitment process, Robert Smith has been appointed to the board to carry out this directorship.

Robert is currently the General Secretary of the British Boxing Board of Control and joins us with a wealth of knowledge of regulatory matters.  Robert also boxed as both an amateur and professional and lives and works in South Wales.

The board is made up of twelve directors, 9 men and 3 women, under the chair, Paul Thorogood MBE. The full list of board directors can be found on our website.
