Katy Evans Joins Welsh Boxing Board of Directors

Welsh Boxing is delighted to welcome Katy Evans to the Board of Directors, expanding the team to 12 members comprising of nine men and three women.

Katy has served as our Sport Wales Relationship Manager for the past two years. As a consultant, she played a key role in developing our ‘Beyond 2023’ Community Strategy and Communications Strategy. 

With extensive experience across the sport sector, Katy has held leadership roles at the Football Association of Wales, the NHS, and within a Regional Sports Trust in New Zealand. She is passionate about making sport and physical activity more accessible, relevant, and engaging for all.

On her appointment to the Board, Katy said:  

"I am thrilled to continue working with the Welsh Boxing team, now in a different capacity as a Board Director. Boxing has a unique ability to transform lives; with loyalty, respect, and discipline at its core. I believe it holds incredible potential to empower more people to reach their full potential and I’m proud to be a part of the Welsh Boxing Board to support the team in achieving this.”
