The Welsh Boxing Team will travel to Tenerife from 25 June to 3 July as preparations intensify ahead of the upcoming Commonwealth Games.

The nine-day camp will provide the squad with the perfect environment to develop as they build towards one of the biggest events in the sporting calendar.

The Commonwealth Games-bound boxers attending the camp are Connor Williams, Dan Pitt, Orlando Holley-Sotomi, Owain Harris-Allan, Rosie Eccles, Helen Jones and Niamh Brookes.

They will be joined in Tenerife by Alfie Lewis and Haaris Khan as sparring partners.

An experienced coaching and support team will lead the camp, with Head of Coaching Colin Jones and fellow coaches Gamal Yafai and Mally Maciver overseeing the boxing programme, while Dai Watts Head of Strength and Conditioning at Cardiff Met University will oversee the team’s S+C.

The camp represents a key stage in the team’s preparations, offering the opportunity to sharpen skills ahead of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow next month. Pob lwc tîm!
