Thank you, Helen Jones.
Welsh Boxing can confirm that Helen Jones has left the Welsh Boxing programme.
Helen leaves with an incredible list of memories and achievements from her time in the Welsh vest. She proudly represented Team Wales at two Commonwealth Games, competing in Birmingham in 2022 and Glasgow in 2026, and has been a three-time Senior British Champion across the Three Nations.
Helen has had great international success, with gold at Boxam and a World Boxing Cup medal among the highlights of an impressive career.
More than the medals and titles, Helen has been a valued member of the programme and can look back on her time with immense pride.
Head of Performance Adam Park said:
“Helen can be incredibly proud of what she has achieved during her time within the Welsh Boxing programme. Representing Team Wales at two Commonwealth Games is something that very few athletes get the opportunity to experience, and to add three Senior British titles and international medals to that is a fantastic reflection of the level she has reached.
“She has represented Wales with real pride and has been an important part of our group. We’ve shared some fantastic moments together, and I hope Helen looks back on those moments with the same pride that we do.
“On behalf of everyone at Welsh Boxing, I want to thank Helen for everything she has contributed during her time with us. She leaves having made a significant contribution to Welsh Boxing, and we wish her nothing but the very best for the next chapter. She should be extremely proud of everything she has achieved.”
Da Iawn Helen.
