Connor Williams has left the Welsh Boxing Performance Programme to begin his professional career.
Connor joined the Elite Programme in January 2025. In the 20 months since he won numerous international medals including gold at the Bocskai tournament in Hungary and silver at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
Welsh Boxing Head of Performance Adam Park said:
“It’s been an absolute pleasure working with Connor. He’s one of the nicest people you could meet in boxing, and he’s given everything to the programme.
“What he achieved in such a short time is remarkable. We were all delighted to see him get the medal he deserved in Glasgow.”
“Connor also became a father at a crucial point in the cycle and showed real maturity in balancing family life with his boxing. I wish him every success in the professional ranks.”
Everyone at Welsh Boxing congratulates Connor on his international career and wishes him all the best for what comes next.
