Time: 09:00 – 17:00

The Boxing Leaders Award has been created for coaches who act as helpers and assistants within gyms and during competition. Their role is to lead activities in a supervised environment, working on the technical ability of boxers, providing a fun, engaging and challenging opportunity. Boxing Leaders need to be engaging within a boxing gym to motivate, develop and support boxers. They will be energetic, they will have an appropriate level of technical knowledge and they will be respectful within the gym to boxers and other coaches.
Boxing Leaders can only act in a supervised environment. WABA Boxing Leaders will not be required to plan their activities, as they will be given to them by the lead coach. They therefore need to be adaptable but are encouraged to be involved with other coaches to learn how to plan activities and sessions. A Boxing Leader also needs to be risk aware. They will need to continually assess their surroundings and their boxers to ensure safety within an activity is always maintained.
