2021 National Championships Update

Dear Member Clubs,

NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

It will come as no surprise to you all, that with the current national Coronavirus lockdown, we have decided to postpone (not cancel) the National Championships planned for March/April.

This is because of the resulting insufficient time for boxers to prepare, even if the lockdown was to end in line with the government guidelines, which is roughly one month per phase or tier.

Planning is now being undertaken for the National Championships to take place later in the calendar year, providing government restrictions are lifted. We are hopeful that the vaccination programme will be successful and clubs will be able to open again and we can see some competitive boxing again.
