Peerless by Owen Thomas available from Sherman Theatre

If you missed our autumn 2020 Heart of Cardiff season, I'm delighted to let you know that on Friday 5 February Sherman theatre will be re-releasing the series of 10 audio performances for two weeks only. Whatever you’re doing, wherever you are, we have stories from local writers, all about Cardiff, just for you.

All ten audio plays (available from Feb 5) and accompanying resources can be found at www.heartofcardiff.co.uk

Peerless by Owen Thomas is set across Llanrumney (featuring the Llanrumney Boxing club as part of the play), Cathays and the city centre of Cardiff, imagining an inspiring conversation with a ghostly Jim Driscoll. The Box Set launch offers a second opportunity for Boxing club members and their community / families to listen again to Peerless, as well as enjoy the free online activities for families with young children.

I know that you are as busy as ever supporting your community and partners at this time, and Sherman Theatre would like to help you with some additional FREE activities, all relating to the Heart of Cardiff boxset audio dramas.

These plays take place in Cardiff but we feel that their themes and the activities are equally relevant to you and community.

Available in both Welsh and English, we also have a range of resources and activities relating to the plays which will inspire people to engage with contemporary issues in the world today.

May I also remind you about our Sherman 5 programme which works with a range of community groups to support access for them and their participants to Sherman. This includes online activities, free resources, ticket offers and access support when we are able to offer live performances again and special events exclusively for our members (membership is free).

See the Sherman 5 webpage  for more information.
