Dean Caldwell MBE Presented with Honour by Princess Anne

Welsh boxing stalwart Dean Caldwell has officially received his MBE from Anne, Princess Royal during an investiture ceremony held this Wednesday, marking a proud and historic moment for both Dean and the Welsh boxing community.

Dean was named in New Year Honours for his outstanding voluntary and charitable service to the South Wales community. The honour recognises decades of dedication, not only within boxing but across emergency and community services throughout Wales.

Widely known to boxing fans as one of the sport’s most recognisable and respected MCs, Dean has become a familiar and trusted voice at events across the country. His professionalism, warmth and unwavering support for Welsh boxing have made him a valued figure ringside for many years.

Away from boxing, Dean has balanced his role as a full-time member of the Welsh Ambulance Service with extensive voluntary work. His commitment to public service has seen him support organisations including the RNLI, HM Coastguard and local radio initiatives, contributing significantly to community safety and awareness across South Wales.

Receiving his MBE from The Princess Royal was a fitting tribute to a man whose life has been dedicated to serving others. For the Welsh boxing community, it is a moment of immense pride to see one of our own recognised at the highest level.

Welsh Boxing extends its warmest congratulations to Dean Caldwell MBE on this richly deserved honour and thanks him for his exceptional service to both our sport and the wider Welsh community.
