Welsh Boxing Introduces First Ever Divisional Terms of Reference

Welsh Boxing is strengthening the way we work with our divisions to better support grassroots boxing across Wales. 🥊

Following discussions between the board executive and divisional committees, our first Terms of Reference have been introduced to help modernise governance, improve coordination and ensure clubs and divisions are supported as effectively as possible.

The updated framework reinforces the role of divisions in representing affiliated clubs, supporting the safe organisation of club shows, delivering development activity and managing divisional affairs, while working closely with the board and staff to grow the sport across the country.

They reflect a shared commitment to strengthening governance while ensuring local voices remain at the heart of boxing’s development. By collaborating more closely, we can better support clubs, volunteers and boxers across Wales and continue to grow the sport at grassroots level.”

The new Terms of Reference will come into effect on 1 April 2026.
