Welsh Boxing to Compete at Expanded Four Nations Championships in Scotland

Welsh Boxing will be in attendance at the 2026 Four Nations Championships, set to take place in Motherwell, Scotland, from Thursday 11th June to Sunday 14th June 2026.

Hosted by Boxing Scotland at the Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility, this year’s event will mark one of the largest editions of the competition to date, with over 300 boxers expected to compete across Schools, Junior, Youth and Elite level.

The 2026 event builds on the success of last year’s championships, hosted by Welsh Boxing at the Sport Wales National Centre, where, for the first time, all age groups competed under one roof across a four-day schedule. That landmark format proved to be a major step forward for the competition.

In an exciting development for 2026, Boxing Ireland will join the traditional Three Nations format, creating an expanded Four Nations Championships alongside Wales, England, and Scotland. This addition is expected to raise the standard of competition and provide invaluable international experience for Welsh boxers at every stage of their development.

Welsh Boxing looks forward to sending a strong team to Scotland and building on recent performances at previous editions of the championships. The organisation remains committed to providing its members with opportunities to compete at the highest level and gain vital experience on the international stage.

Adam Park Welsh Boxing, Head of Performance said:

"The Four Nations Championships continues to be a key milestone in our performance calendar. Building on the success of last year’s event in Cardiff, where we saw the positive impact of bringing all age groups together in one venue, this expanded format presents an even greater opportunity for our boxers. Competing against England, Scotland, and now Ireland will provide a higher level of competition and a valuable benchmark as we continue to develop athletes across all stages of the pathway.“

Further details regarding team selection, schedules, and travel arrangements will be communicated to members in due course.
