Welsh Boxing to Establish a Referees and Judges Sub Committee

Welsh Boxing is delighted to announce that a Referees & Judges Commission (R&J Commission) is being established as part of its sub-committee structure.

Discussions lately with the Referee & Judges Association have been vital in taking this step and having such a sub-committee will provide assurances for the current board around risk as well as provide a significant benefit to all officials in further developing a financially supported officials’ pathway.

The R&J Association will remain as a separate entity, but the Terms of Reference of the R&J Commission will empower this group to make recommendations to the board on key issues relating to the effective officiating of competitive boxing shows and tournaments.

Especially, Welsh Boxing would like to thank those volunteers who gave up their time sitting on the R&J Working Group.
