Orlando Holley-Sotomi has officially made the move into the professional ranks.
Orlando leaves the Welsh Boxing programme following an impressive period on the international stage, culminating in a standout summer at the Commonwealth Games, where he claimed a silver medal.
His success came after a bronze medal at the European U23 Championships, alongside numerous international titles throughout his amateur career. His performances established him as one of boxing’s standout talents.
From developing through the Elite Programme to stepping onto some of the biggest stages in international boxing, Orlando has continued to grow and test himself against the very best.

“Orlando’s journey through the Elite Programme has been a story of hard work and mental resilience. It wasn’t always a smooth road, and there were plenty of lessons along the way, but what stood out was his willingness to keep turning up, keep learning and keep pushing himself.
He saved his best for the biggest stage. A bronze medal at the U23 European Championships was followed by a superb silver medal at the Commonwealth Games. This was a reflection of how far he had developed.
At the Commonwealth Games, Orlando lit up the competition with his devastating power punching. He was exciting to watch and showed exactly what makes him such a special talent.
