Appointment of Katie Langan, Helen Arnold-Richardson, Richard Brice and David Dulieu to the WABA Board.
Welsh Boxing is delighted to announce the appointment of four new Non-Elected Board Members.
Following a thorough recruitment and interview process, which began when we asked for applications to the roles of Safeguarding & Equality as well as External Funding, the Board was very impressed with the standard of candidates and felt that a number of candidates would make a great impact at Board level.
Therefore, Katie Langan has been appointed Director of Equality and HR, Helen Arnold-Richardson has been appointed Director of Safeguarding, Richard Brice has been appointed Director of External Funding and David Dulieu has been appointed Director of PR and Marketing. The Board is now 11 in number.
Katie is an HR Consultant with Vivid Teams as well as previously working in HR for Nike and William Hill. Helen is a Business Development Director at Do-IT Solutions, she has chaired a Board of Governors and has worked in safeguarding across National Offender Services, Prison Services and in Education. Richard is an Insurance Broker with Severn Bay Corporate Solutions and has worked in Event Management for many years with Crawshays RFC and Lords Taverners. David is Managing Director at Dragonfly Creative, a Marketing Consultancy Company looking at marketing, PR and sponsorship needs.
Derek McAndrew said “We are thrilled that Katie, Helen, Richard and David are joining the Board and firmly believe their input will make us stronger. We had a number of strong candidates and we have also asked Lisa Dymock from Chepstow and Mark Field from Buckley to involve themselves within Welsh Boxing at sub-committee level.”
