WELSH BOXING HAS A ZERO-TOLERANCE POLICY TOWARDS RACISM

On 30 January 2025, the Welsh Boxing Disciplinary Panel, chaired by independent Kevin Seal, barrister, met to consider an allegation of a racial slur made by a Welsh Boxing member.

After considering submitted statements and photographs, the Panel found the allegation proven and gave the individual a six-month suspension with immediate effect.

The Panel members also wished that this decision be shared with the membership to help raise the awareness of racism.
