A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A WELSH BOXER

Ever wondered what life was like as a Welsh boxer preparing for the Commonwealth Games? We sat down with Helen Jones who will box in Birmingham in the 50kg category.

She is now part of the GB Boxing set up in Sheffield but her skills were nurtured by Welsh Boxing and she was part of the full-time, residential programme at Sport Wales National Centre in Cardiff.

Competing for Wales, she returned to the fold in order to prepare with Team Wales. She talks us through brutal runs, power naps and porridge – all part and parcel of a typical day in the life of a Welsh boxer….
